YUBARTA awarded FONPROCINE

Yubarta, the animation documentary directed by Nayibe Tavares-Abel and co-written by Louvenson Saint-Juste, was awarded the FONPROCINE development award in December 2024.
The documentary tells the migration of the director's great-grandfather from Palestine to the Caribbean, told from the perspective of Saint-Juste, an animation artist who is also an immigrant in the Dominican Republic.
